  • Is Fall Really the Best Time to Replace Your Roof?

    Roof Replacement

Every fall I get the same question: is now actually a good time to replace a roof, or should I wait until spring? Here in Georgia, fall is honestly the sweet spot. Shingles need temps in that 40 to 85 degree range to seal down properly, and this time of year gives us exactly that, without July heat that makes shingles soft and scuff-prone, or a January cold snap that keeps the adhesive from bonding right.

There’s a scheduling edge too. Once storm season winds down, crews around here aren’t buried in hail and wind claims anymore, so you’re not waiting weeks just to get someone out to look at it.

If your roof is getting up there in age, don’t wait for the first hard freeze to force your hand — get it inspected now, while the weather and the schedule are both actually working in your favor.
